The Nest at Gettysburg Farmstead

Perched on the third floor of a charming 1920s farmhouse, The Nest is your private retreat—perfect for watching the lively morning routine of the farm animals and the sun setting in the evening, all from a large picture window overlooking the property.

Step inside and sink into comfort: a plush king bed, a cozy sitting area, and a warm electric fireplace create the perfect space to unwind. The full bath invites you to linger a little longer, with a deep soaking tub (sorry the jets no longer work) and a walk-in shower crafted with authentic Gettysburg bricks—an experience that blends relaxation with a touch of history.

Outside your door, the experience only gets richer. Spend your days exploring the grounds, meeting friendly farm animals, or challenging your travel companion to a lively game on the private pickleball court (gear included). As the sun dips below the horizon, gather around the fire pit—wood and s’mores provided—for evenings filled with laughter, stories, and starlit skies.

Inside the farmhouse, enjoy thoughtfully designed shared spaces, including a cozy parlor lounge and a convenient kitchenette stocked with essentials to make your stay effortless. Whether you’re savoring a quiet morning coffee, enjoying a countryside picnic, or simply soaking in the peaceful rhythm of farm life, every detail is designed to help you truly relax.

While staying at the farm you will have access outside to the private pickleball court, seasonal cut-flower garden, historic barn, tree swing, firepit, hammocks, porch swing, outdoor dinning table and lawn games. You are also invited to spend time playing, petting and cuddling with out farm animals. You may also set a time to brush our Highland cows and feed them treats.

Located just a short, scenic drive from Gettysburg, you’ll have easy access to renowned attractions like the Gettysburg National Military Park, as well as local restaurants, wineries, coffee shops, and charming downtown experiences. The Farmstead also makes a perfect home base for day trips to nearby destinations like Liberty Mountain Resort, Hershey, and even Washington, DC.
