Tucked into the rolling countryside just across the Mason Dixon line, Gettysburg Farmstead offers a refreshing alternative to traditional accommodations—its a place where guests come to slow down and enjoy fresh air, furry farm animals, flowers, friends and family. This peaceful paradise is just minutes from Gettysburg’s most iconic historic sites, giving visitors the best of both worlds: quiet retreat and easy exploration.
The 1920s farmhouse is home to four unique rentals, each with its own charm. On the first floor, the Farm Apartment offers a private entrance, full kitchen, cozy sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom—perfect for a more independent stay. Upstairs, the Cottage Room and Sewing Room provide inviting, thoughtfully themed spaces to unwind. And at the very top, The Nest lives up to its name, overlooking the west side of the property with a king-sized bed, seating area, and a spacious bathroom featuring a large soaking tub and separate shower.

Guests have access to shared spaces designed for comfort and connection, including a cozy parlor lounge with games and a smart TV, as well as a convenient kitchenette stocked with coffee and tea to start your morning right. Step outside to enjoy the private pickleball court, seasonal cut-flower garden, fire pit, hammocks, and both tree and porch swings. You’re also welcome to explore the historic Civil War–era bank barn, chicken coop, and surrounding pastures.
While the setting is breathtaking, for many guests the most memorable moments are spent with the farm’s friendly animals—playing, petting, and simply enjoying their company. Be sure to arrange a time to brush the Highland cows, snap a few photos, and offer them treats—an experience that’s as special as it is unforgettable.
I loved waking to the roosters and having my morning coffee on the porch swing. No traffic noise, just birds singing and leaves rustling now and then. A gorgeous property and beautifully decorated living space —minutes away from the Gettysburg historical attractions. It is very well appointed, spotless and comfortable. Thank you for an enjoyable farm experience!"

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, peacefully drank cups of coffee on the front porch swing, had lovely conversations with fellow guests and homeowner, played a good game of cornhole, made yummy breakfast with the fresh chicken eggs provided, slept wonderfully in the comfy bed, petted the friendly, fluffy doggos, took a stroll down the long drive and country road and were only 15 minutes from Gettysburg where we explored all the historical sites/battlefields and ate at good restaurants and coffeeshops! We plan on booking again!"
